HabiLife Next Steps
First of all I would like to thank the first 100 HabiLife users. You have given me great feedback and thereby also the motivation to further develop HabiLife. I would like to start with the two most requested features:
You seem to be, like myself, big Matt D'Avella fans or followers of the Slow Growth community. Many of you have asked for the possibility to create a 30 day challenge. Of course, this could already be mapped at the moment, but I also understand that a personal challenge should not get lost among your normal habits. I am working on a design draft for this function and will share the draft with you soon.
The 30 day challenge also brings us to the next feature, a feature that I miss a lot when using HabiLife myself...
Apple has presented a few interesting improvements at this year's WWDC, which will be introduced with iOS17. Some of them are also very good for the further development of HabiLife and I am already implementing them. I can't promise if I will be done with them until the launch of iOS17 but these changes will be so extensive that this version will definitely usher in the era of HabiLife 2.0. I would like to change the data management from CoreData to Apple's new API SwiftData, I would also like to have an iPad and Mac version of HabiLife and with iOS17 Apple has greatly simplified the StoreKit implementation for developers, which I would like to use to integrate a subscription model in HabiLife so you can support me for further developments if you want.
As much as I enjoyed creating the current HabiLife icon I am still not 100% happy with it. I'd like to work on a new icon again in advance of the release of an iPad and Mac version. Suggestions are always welcome :-)
The last idea for now, simply because I like to use them and also because they are becoming more and more practical, I would like to create an interactive HabiLife widget.
As you can see, HabiLife is alive. Thank you very much for all the requests and inquiries, please keep it that way. It motivates me immensely to continue to work actively on HabiLife, thank you very much!
